SecuScan: Berlin Kanzleramt
More security for the German Chancellor
In fall 2003, Signalbau Huber has installed its security system SecuScan at the main entrance to the Bureau of the German Chancellor. The vehicle underside scanner is part of a complex access control system and thoroughly inspects vehicle undercarriages in respect of weapons, explosives and other safety risks.
The contract amounting to 240,000 € has been awarded in January 2003 and the project has been finished in August of the same year. SecuScan has been customized for the requirements of the Kanzleramt. The system has been mounted into the road surface and now inspects all vehicles up to 30 t of axle load. Moreover, Signalbau Huber has installed automatic license plate recognition as well as a front-end camera for better vehicle identification.
